Description of funding sources

We receive a number of different sources of income to fund our supported accommodation services and these can be summarised as follows:

–          Housing benefit

–          Supporting people and other local authority grants

–          Social work funding

–          Residents contributions

In addition, we receive a small amount of bank interest and various ad-hoc donations and small grants.

Our programme of work and projects

Capital works programme/plans information (annual programme figure)

Blue Triangle has a planned programme of capital works in order that key component parts of our buildings that we own, are replaced as required in terms of our lifecycle costing or at such other times should this be necessary.

Where buildings that we operate are leased from other landlords, we will liaise with the respective landlords to ensure the appropriate capital works are carried out. The association agrees a capital budget each year (for its own buildings) as part of the budget setting process.

It is our policy to reimburse reasonable travel and subsistence expenses incurred by members of the Committee of Management and senior staff.

General information about staff pension scheme

Blue Triangle auto enrols all eligible workers into its contributory pension scheme under the terms of the Pensions Act 2008 (and other statutory instruments). Employees are auto enrolled in their first complete month of service. Under the current scheme, the Association will contribute the equivalent of 3% of the employee’s salary and the employee will contribute the equivalent of 5% of their salary. Employer and employee contributions under the scheme are deducted from basic salary only.

All other payments and allowances, including overtime, are not pensionable and contributions will not be made under the scheme in respect of such payments. Employees are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the terms of pension auto enrolment. Full information will be supplied to all eligible employees as they are enrolled.

Should an employee make the decision to opt out of the pension scheme, this is a private matter between them and the Association’s pension provider and does not involve the Association in any way. Blue Triangle is obliged to re-enrol employees who have chosen to opt out every three years.
